詞句：宗主混元禪師於《唯心聖教》之「序」文中開示立教之緣由，曰：「天地立宗，聖人立教，假名宗教，亦真名宗教」，又曰：「天地之間本來就已存在陰陽之關係……。天地之間者，即是易也。易者日月星辰及人事物之共同存在與調和也。……本人察知易經之哲理是人類與天地配其德之聖教，其奧無窮。……故本人察知，人欲立於天地間時，必須知天地調和法則，才能順天而生。」

詞句：The preface to Weixin Shengjiao, the leader and founder, Grand Master Hunyuan Chanshi elucidated the motive for establishing this new religion: “Heaven and Earth establish the Lineage (Zong); Sages establish the Teaching (Jiao). The term ‘Religion’ (Zong-Jiao) is both a provisional name and a true name.” He furthre said, “Between Heaven and Earth, the relationship of Yin and Yang has always existed... That which exists between Heaven and Earth is the I (Change). The I is the harmonious coexistence of the sun, moon, stars, and all human affairs... I have discerned that the philosophy of the I Ching is the Sacred Teaching (Shengjiao) through which humanity accords its virtue with Heaven and Earth; its profundity is inexhaustible... For humanity to stand between Heaven and Earth, one must understand the laws of celestial harmony in order to live in accordance with Heaven.”
